Organizations — ByStander
★ For Organizations

Bring ByStander to the people you serve.

Colleges, civil rights organizations, non-profits, and employers partner with ByStander to extend real-time safety to their communities — on terms that respect their members' privacy and reinvest in their mission.

Partnership programs

Three ways to bring ByStander to your community.

Whichever path fits, your organization controls who advocates for your members and who administers the group — so the people you serve are protected by people you trust.

🎓

Group licensing

Best for colleges, employers, large teams

Cover the cost of ByStander for your students, employees, or members at a discounted per-seat rate. Activate hundreds or thousands of accounts at once.

  • Volume pricing per seat — the larger the group, the better the rate
  • Bulk activation by domain, roster, or invitation link
  • Group-level dashboard for usage and incident reporting (de-identified)
  • Optional dedicated advocate pool for your organization

White-label

Best for established brands and member services

Run ByStander as your own product. Your branding on the app and portals. Your domain. Your subscription relationship with your members.

  • Branded app icon, splash, theme, and copy
  • Branded admin portal and advocate portal
  • Custom domains for portals and email
  • Engineering support during onboarding

For municipalities

Public-sector workers deserve
a real safety net.

Cities, counties, and public agencies use ByStander to extend real-time safety coverage to the workers their communities depend on — without the cost or overhead of legacy radio dispatch or wearable panic buttons.

🏘️

Lone-worker programs

Code enforcement, building inspectors, child-welfare caseworkers, and harm-reduction outreach — staff who enter homes and unfamiliar situations alone.

🚌

Transit & mobility

Bus operators, station agents, parking enforcement, and transit ambassadors who face the public in unpredictable environments every shift.

Non-police response

Community-responder teams, mental-health crisis units, and harm-reduction workers piloting alternatives to traditional 911 dispatch.

Process servers, victim advocates, eviction-court support, and parole and probation officers working with the public outside courthouse walls.

📚

Public-facing staff

Library workers, recreation centers, parks crews, and public-housing personnel handling community interactions every day.

🛡️

Survivor & DV advocates

County DV advocates and victim-witness coordinators meeting clients in the field, in court, and at safe houses.

Built for the public sector.

  • Procurement-friendly — standard MSAs, BAAs, and public-sector terms; we work with existing co-op contracts where available.
  • Records & audit-ready — configurable retention to meet open-records and union-agreement requirements; full incident audit trails.
  • Worker-centered — only active during user-triggered incidents. No always-on tracking, no surveillance overhead.
  • Department-level admin — each department designates its own admins and advocate pool while leadership sees roll-up reporting.
  • Union & labor-aligned — we partner with municipal unions during rollout to make sure the program fits collectively bargained workplace agreements.
  • Budget-aware — per-seat pricing scales with deployment; pilots available for departments before full rollout.

How partnership works

From conversation to coverage
in four steps.

1

Apply

Tell us about your organization, the people you serve, and what model fits. Most organizations hear back within 3 business days.

2

Vet & align

We confirm fit, walk through advocate and admin selection, and align on rollout, branding, and any compliance needs.

3

Onboard

Your team designates advocates and admins. We train them on the platform and the response standards your members deserve.

4

Launch

Members get invited. Coverage goes live. You see real-time, de-identified visibility into how the program is helping.

Communities deserve to be protected by their own.

Personal safety is more than a product. For a college student walking home, an organizer leaving a rally, a domestic-violence survivor between appointments, or a healthcare worker on a late shift — protection works best when it comes from people who understand the context.

That's why every ByStander partnership is built around two non-negotiables: your community picks the advocates, and your community controls the admin access. We provide the technology, the response standards, and the 24/7 backbone. Your people stay your people.

Common questions

Partnerships, answered.

How does the 10% non-profit revenue share work?
For every active subscription tied to a member of your group, we pay 10% of the monthly subscription back to your organization. Payouts are monthly. Qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations and international equivalents are eligible. We provide a transparent monthly statement showing active members and contribution.
What does it mean that we choose our own advocates?
Our default advocate pool is national, but partner organizations can require that their members be matched only with advocates the organization has approved — so a campus's students reach campus-trained responders, a chapter's members reach chapter-vetted advocates, and so on. Your organization sets the standards, and we train and verify on those standards.
Who sees my members' data?
By design, only the people your organization explicitly designates as group admins, plus the advocates your members choose during an active incident. ByStander does not share member identity data with third parties, and aggregated reporting given to organization leadership is de-identified by default.
Is there a minimum group size?
No hard minimum, but group licensing pricing is most favorable above 250 seats. Below that, the non-profit revenue-share model often makes more sense. We'll help you figure out which fits.
What does white-label include?
Your branded mobile app (icon, splash screen, theme), your branded web portals (admin and advocate), your domains for portals and notification emails, and engineering support during onboarding. Pricing depends on scope; we walk through specifics on the discovery call.
Are international partners welcome?
Yes. We currently support deployments in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and most of the EU. Other regions on request — tell us where you operate and we'll let you know our timeline.
